IFS has announced the release of IFS Cloud 24R2, introducing over 60 new AI capabilities aimed at revolutionizing industrial operations. These enhancements are tailored specifically for industries that rely heavily on manufacturing, assets and services, utilizing AI to optimize performance and efficiency.

A key highlight is the new IFS.ai powered homepage, which provides users with real-time project insights and automatic anomaly detection. This interactive and AI-driven interface streamlines asset management, project planning, and maintenance.

IFS.ai Copilot now offers even deeper insights, helping industries make data-driven decisions faster. By integrating with a customer’s data, it provides accurate, contextually relevant answers, improving decision-making for roles such as service managers and field dispatchers.

For production optimization, the Manufacturing Scheduling Optimization (MSO) Simulation feature enables better capacity utilization with more realistic production schedules. The what-if analysis capability allows businesses to maximize resource usage and plan production more effectively to meet customer demand.

In asset management, the updated FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) feature enhances operational efficiency by predicting potential equipment failures. Supported by rules-based anomaly detection and anomaly handling, it helps reduce downtime and optimize maintenance strategies based on predicted asset behavior.

Sustainability is a major focus in IFS Cloud 24R2. The new Sustainability Management module streamlines the tracking, analysis, and reporting of environmental impact, particularly in relation to CSRD requirements and broader sustainability goals. It also includes the Emission Tracker, which covers key Scope 3 emissions categories such as waste generated in operations, transportation, and fuel use. Additionally, the Carbon Emission Estimate Recommendation tool helps businesses assess and reduce their carbon footprint.

IFS also supports the adoption of circular economy business models, providing enhanced transparency across the product lifecycle and greater support for production engineers and shop floor workers. This promotes sustainable production practices and optimizes resource use.

The IFS Cloud 24R2 release continues IFS’s commitment to empowering industries with AI, helping them unlock the value of their data to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and sustainability. Read more about IFS Cloud 24R2 release from IFS website: IFS blog
