IFS has released a major new update to the IFS Cloud system. The IFS Cloud 25R1 update introduces new AI-driven features designed to accelerate value creation, reduce the need for manual work in operational activities, and support more profitable sustainability.

IFS has brought artificial intelligence into the industrial environment in a way that truly serves business needs. The agent-based IFS.ai capabilities enable automation and intelligent decision-making throughout the entire asset lifecycle and production processes — including AI-driven support for procurement, manufacturing, delivery, maintenance, and customer service.

Highlights from the 25R1 Release and New AI Features

IFS.ai Copilot Features
New Copilots for sales and supply chain operations enhance customer service, reduce errors, and accelerate decision-making.

IFS.ai Forecasting and Inventory Replenishment
AI helps optimize spare parts logistics and demand forecasting, offering significant savings potential — especially for centralized inventory management and maintenance.

IFS.ai XD Integration and Visualization
Integration of 2D and 3D data improves visibility for maintenance and planning. Maintenance technicians can pinpoint areas needing attention directly from a 3D model, streamlining service work and improving safety.

AI Data and Work Generation from Documents
AI analyzes third-party service reports and generates recommended next steps. This saves significant time and ensures more efficient information flow.

Emissions Management
AI enhances the Emissions Management tool with precise and reliable tracking of Scope 1 and 2 emissions — including more than 160,000 verified emission factors (thanks to IFS’s global partner Climatiq). Advanced machine learning models identify and connect emission sources even in unregistered sub-purchases, dramatically speeding up the process and reducing manual work. This is a major step toward better and more trustworthy emissions tracking.

AI Adoption Broadening Across the Board

The AI features in IFS Cloud 25R1 open up entirely new possibilities for improving production efficiency, optimizing inventory, and enhancing the accuracy of sustainability reporting. There is certainly demand for these kinds of practical, business-oriented AI solutions — including among our own clients at Aveso.

At Aveso, we’re closely following IFS’s development and are excited about the opportunities these new AI capabilities bring to our customers. With the 25R1 update, we are once again one step closer to a true AI revolution in the context of enterprise resource planning systems.

Currently, IFS is offering an AI Starter Pack through the end of June, giving users a 12-month license to try out IFS.ai features. This is a great opportunity to explore the practical capabilities and benefits of industrial AI!
